Marie-Eve Beaupré

Marie-Eve Beaupré was curator in charge of the collection at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal from 2016 to 2023. She contributed to the development of acquisitions and exhibitions of the permanent collection and, among her projects, led the consultative process of the acquisition initiative I support local art. Over the past twenty years, she has collaborated with various institutions, museums, galleries and artist-run centers as a curator, writer, administrator and jury member. She has held the position of Curator of Contemporary Quebec and Canadian Art and was the recipient of the Gail and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (2014-2016), collaborated with the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec on exhibition and research projects (2010-2014) and worked as curator and researcher at the Galerie de l’UQAM (2004-2012). As an art historian and field practitioner, she has been involved in several inventories, including the studios of Edmund Alleyn, Sylvia Safdie, John Heward, Betty Goodwin and Guido Molinari.
Camille Bédard

Camille Bédard is a Montreal-based art and architecture historian whose multidisciplinary practice bears witness to her insatiable curiosity for the arts, no matter their form. With a BFA in Art History from Concordia University (2011) and an M’Arch in Architectural History from McGill University (2013), her research focuses on historical movie theatres. Her background in visual arts includes experiences at the Musée Tomi Ungerer (Strasbourg), the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the creative workshops of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal and at the public programs at the Canadian Centre for Architecture. After 4 years as artistic and general coordinator at LA SERRE – arts vivants, she founded and directed Concordia University’s Art Volt Collection (2021-2024), a platform for the sale and rental of works by recent graduates from the Faculty of Fine Arts. Camille is also on the board of directors of Festival Filministes and occasionally writes for Vie des arts magazine.
Laurence Dupont

Laurence Dupont has a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Université de Montréal and a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from Université du Québec à Montréal. After a stint at Art Souterrain in the development of audiences and activities, Laurence continues her career by designing and leading mediation workshops with adults in francization for the Théâtre Outremont. A position in educational program development brought her to the Cité de l’énergie in Shawinigan, where she designed activities for the school and preschool public. Prior to her current position, Laurence worked at L’Artothèque, an art library where she supported members, both artists and the general public.
Alexandre Major-Forest

Alexandre Major-Forest holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from the Université de Montréal (2021) and is continuing his studies at the same institution at the master’s level. He is simultaneously completing a bachelor’s degree in visual and media arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Before joining the Foundation, Alexandre worked in mediation and museology, notably for the exhibition Lyse Charland Favretti: Souffle de lumière at MUMAQ and at the Site historique Marguerite-Bourgeoys.
