Festival de la poésie de Montréal: S’étreindre pour ensemble résister

May 22nd, 2026

Friday May 22nd, 2026, 6 pm.

In a world marked by divisions and crises, poetry becomes an act of presence, solidarity, and resistance. This evening brings together six essential voices: Nora Atalla, Martine Audet, Nicole Brossard, Mireille Cliche, Flavia Garcia, and France Mongeau, who, each in their own way, explore the power of embrace, between body and language, between memory and future, between struggle and tenderness.

Organized in collaboration with the Women’s Committee of PEN Québec and coordinated by Mireille Cliche with the support of Nadine Ltaif, this event highlights the committed, sensitive, and necessary writings of the guests themselves and of the poets whose work they will read: Renee Nicole Good, Vénus Khoury-Ghata, Nadia Tuéni, Hyam Yared, Etel Adnan, Nada Sattouf, and Nadine Ltaif. An invitation to come together, to listen, and to make poetry a living space of shared resistance.

Free admission or with a Billet solidaire from the Festival de la poésie de Montréal.
