Friday May 29th, 2026, from 1 pm to 5 pm.
De Faire école à Être-École is a day of reflection, dialogue, and performances dedicated to ways of teaching, transmitting, and experiencing art, both within and outside of institutions. Open, free, and thoughtful encounters will take place with people of today and figures from the past who are looking toward the future.
Discussions will explore the history and paradoxes of arts education with Monique Régimbald-Zeiber and Mario Côté, particularly through the critical legacy of Guido Molinari and the turbulent period of 1968–1969, which saw experimentation with forms of pedagogical self-management.
Other presentations will highlight alternative and socially engaged educational practices: Sylvie Cotton’s workshops both within and outside institutional settings; the decolonial and collaborative approaches of Romeo Gongora, who will be joined by Eluza Maria Gomes; and the critical explorations of karen elaine spencer and Nadia Myre. The day will be punctuated by sound installations by Philippe-Aubert Gauthier.
Full details and complete program can be found on our website.
The event will take place at the Guido Molinari Foundation from 1 pm to 5 pm.
Free admission.
