Mediation program: Nouveau regArt

Unveiling of the project: March 30th, 2026, 5 pm – 7 pm

Project presentation

Rooted in both cultural mediation and digital creativity, Nouveau regArt is a mediation project initiated by the Guido Molinari Foundation. In winter 2026, it brought together young people from various high schools in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighbourhood with the aim of introducing them to the world of museums, collections, and exhibitions. The Foundation’s mediator, Laurence Dupont, welcomed the group each week throughout February and March, offering them a multidisciplinary immersion into the worlds of art and museology, while also creating space to highlight their perspectives on our collections.

Participants had the opportunity to discover our museum collection, visit our storage facilities, learn how to write about different artworks, experiment with a printmaking technique, create their own artwork, and gain a full understanding of the exhibition-making process. This was made possible through the support of the Foundation team and professionals from the artistic and museum fields, including artist Marianne Charlebois.

Their project is integrated into our permanent collection exhibition Faire école, which highlights the pedagogical legacy of Fernande Saint-Martin and Guido Molinari, thus offering an ideal space for experimentation for young participants. They contributed in various ways: adding display cases, artworks, labels, and texts. The project is also accompanied by a publication featuring all the texts written by the group. You can read the participants’ texts about Molinari’s works on our Collections Portal.

The results of the project can be viewed until April 12th, 2026.
