Ce n’est pas que l’histoire doit finir, c’est qu’elle est loin d’être terminée
For one evening, the Académie des lettres du Québec will tell its story through images, music, and texts. On this occasion, the members of the Académie will join the winners of its literary awards in poetry, theater, fiction, and nonfiction, with the aim of initiating a dialogue between literary, social, political, and collective histories. During a festive cabaret, we will hear the verses and phrases of the many writers and intellectuals who, generation after generation, have sought freedom of thought and expression. Given voice, the words of those who have contributed and continue to contribute to the plurality of our imaginations will echo and highlight their resonance and connection.
With: Olivier Kemeid (master of ceremonies); Martine Audet, Nicole Brossard, Daniel Canty, Jean-Paul Daoust, Monique Proulx, Rodney Saint-Éloi (academicians); Evelyne de la Chenelière, Jean-Marc Desgent, Christian Guay-Poliquin, Catherine Lalonde, Vincent Lambert, Élise Turcotte (laureates); music by Blanche Baillargeon (contrabass) and Chantale Morin (piano).
