To mark its 60th anniversary, L\u2019imprimerie, centre d’artistes<\/a> presents a public discussion featuring artists Fanny Latreille<\/strong> and Camille-Zo\u00e9 Valcourt-Synnott<\/strong>, moderated by Laurie Magnan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rooted in their respective research and approaches, this discussion will focus on the conditions under which artists work, the (lack of) recognition of artistic labor, and the issues of precariousness that permeate the visual arts community.
Several questions will guide the conversation: Why isn\u2019t artists\u2019 work recognized as a legitimate profession? How can we conceptualize artistic practices outside the logic of productivity and market value? Beyond precariousness and symbolic capital, is it possible to discuss class relations in contemporary art? By addressing these issues, the discussion will open a space for reflection on possible forms of solidarity in a context marked by the weakening of the social safety net.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The audience is then invited to stay for a toast to mark the launch of L\u2019imprimerie\u2019s 60th anniversary celebrations!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
