Fiona Annis<\/em> on tour in the Maisons de la culture"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Emerging from a study of abstraction in Canadian art history undertaken during a <a href=\"https:\/\/fondationguidomolinari.org\/en\/exhibition-residency-fiona-annis\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"9522\">residency at the Guido Molinari Foundation<\/a>, <em>Correspondances<\/em> responds to the history and actuality of this legacy. This exhibition probes links between places, people and events, to pay homage to the practice of correspondence and the tapestry of connections created through exchange and dialogue. As in the case of many of Annis\u2019 projects, <em>Correspondances<\/em> draws upon substantial research, in combination with her deep knowledge of analogue photographic processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Correspondences<\/em> is now on tour as part of CAM en tourn\u00e9e, an initiative of the Conseil des arts de Montr\u00e9al, the Maisons de la culture de Montr\u00e9al and the Association des diffuseurs culturels de l\u2019\u00cele de Montr\u00e9al (AD\u00ceCIM)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the images created by Annis, the exhibition is enriched with an audio-collage by artist St\u00e9phane Cocke, in which Guido Molinari dialogues with diverse thinkers, including John Cage, Claude Gauvreau, Marcel Duchamp, Philip Glass, Marshall McLuhan and Fernande Saint-Martin.
