On Saturday, November 2 at 2 p.m.<\/strong>, don’t miss the opportunity to hear Nadia Myre<\/strong><\/a> talk about the creative and research processes behind her exhibition, as she delved into the archives of her father Robert Myre (1942-2020), printer, publisher, journalist, union educator and social and political activist. To have a better understanding of the social, cultural and political context of the subjects of the exhibition, Nadia extended an invitation to Guy Sioui Durand<\/strong> to accompany her for a discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sociologist (PH.D.), art critic and independent curator, Guy Sioui Durand<\/a> has been a lecturer since 1978 and a renowned speaker. Since 1993, he has developed what he calls performative harangues<\/em>, fusing indigenous forms of orality with the codes of performance art. A man of thought (theories, writings and transmissions) and action (events, conference-performance, media activities), it is in this sense that contemporary art and Aboriginal art are his fields of intervention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They will discuss political involvement, resistance, affect and art – the major themes that unite Nadia, her father Robert Myre and Molinari in the exhibition Tout geste est\/et politique<\/em>. Not to be missed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
